My solution:

Here's what the man can do..

1. Only the fox and corn would be safe together.. so he beings the chicken acrossed the river and leaves it on the other side.

2. He goes back and picks up the sack of corn and brings it acrossed the river.. however, he BRINGS the chicken back acrossed the river with him as it would eat the corn if left there.

3. He deposits the chicken on the original river side and now takes the fox acrossed, leaving it by the sack of corn.

4. He returns once more to the original river bank for the chicken and brings it acrossed the river to join the fox and the sack of corn.

As long as the man is there to police things, the fox, the chicken, and the corn will survive.
