Stress - a "World-Wide Epidemic"

According to statistics, by 2020, stress will be the second leading cause of disability.
According to The American Institute of Stress, it is “America’s number one health problem.”
The World Health Organization stated, “Stress has become a world- wide epidemic.”

It is the number one reason for doctor visits and billions are being spent to cope with it, but, what if we were taught to manage stress before it makes us sick?

Stephanie Escott, Researcher, Teacher and Speaker, shares her knowledge, explaining, “If people knew how their relationship with the world from a quantum physics perspective, they would start to understand, just how powerful they really are. Albert Einstein and the most famous equation on the planet says it all, e=mc² - everything is energy, including us. Nikola Tesla said, “If you want to understand the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration”. My conclusion after years of research is; we are more powerful than we have been taught to believe. “

On a biological level, we speak to the 50 trillion cells in our body, every moment of every day. Our thoughts and emotions shift our autonomic nervous system. When we feel stress, our biological response shifts to the sympathetic nervous system, shutting down the immune system (among many other physiological systems), moving into ‘fight or flight’ mode where we create cortisol (stress hormone). When we sleep or we are in a state of relaxation, we move into the parasympathetic nervous system, the ‘rest and digest’ mode where we create DHEA (youth hormone). Put simply, stress shuts down our immune system, when we don’t feel good, we are physically hurting ourselves.

With the help of a biofeedback device, Stephanie coaches clients to get into “heart brain coherence”, creating balance in the autonomic nervous system and has been referred to as the ‘ultimate physiological state’. There are over 300 scientific peer reviewed papers that uncover how the power of shifting into heart brain coherence not only affects the individual, all of humanity benefits as the Global Coherence Initiative shows.

Stephanie speaks about the conscious mind vs the subconscious mind. Studies show, the majority of people are living 90-95% of the time from their subconscious mind, only conscious or aware of their thoughts and emotions, 5-10% of the time. Many play the story that says; ‘I am not good enough, not smart enough, not worthy or deserving’ but this couldn’t be further from the truth.

We are all inherently worthy of becoming our best possible selves and we can do this by becoming conscious of our thoughts. We are born with an emotional guidance system for a reason but we have been taught that we can’t trust it. Science shows, our intuition is right more than wrong and our intent as Dr. Emoto demonstrated, can change the molecular structure of water, the molecular structure of ourselves.

Mindfulness is a word that many have heard but too few know the meaning. Mindfulness is living in the present moment in a state of awareness. There are many tools that can help individuals to become mindful, meditation being an example that most would equate with the word mindfulness. The science and benefits of meditation are well documented, the most profound in Stephanie’s opinion, was published in the Journal of Conflict Resolution, first in 1988. The study concluded that “there is more evidence that meditation can turn war off like a light switch than there is evidence that Aspirin reduces headaches – it is a scientific fact”, John Hagelin, Quantum Physicist.

As above, so below – we are in constant communication with the 50 trillion cells in our body just as, we are in constant communication with the quantum field hence, the law of attraction. Become a master of your thoughts and emotions and you become a master of your life – you are more powerful than you know.
