I have definitely had to work at empathy, especially with my children. It can be a true struggle for me because expectation gets in the way. The exercise of coming up with possibilities is excellent, and one I use often with my own children, especially in the car.

For the longest time I thought, well, this child of mine might be a sociopath because he just looked at me blankly any time I tried to explain anything about human feelings, reactions, etc to him. But now he's 5 and I think he's starting to get it a little. He does love to do the possibility game! Can get totally silly, which I think is wonderful. Cheers!
