What is the Importance and Benefits of Mindfulness in Children

Giving up judging and focusing on the here and now is what conscious awareness, which is sometimes called "mindfulness," is all about.

You may have seen for yourself how hard it can be to do this sometimes in your own life. Sometimes our thoughts are stuck on things we wish we had done differently, things we regret, or what we can do in the future.

This makes it hard to live in the present. Adults today often think and feel in terms of stereotypes, which can make it hard to talk to them without judging them.

Because of this, adopting conscious awareness can help adults a lot. What's going on with the kids now?

Try to remember your childhood now. When you were really into a game, did you ever forget to answer your phone when your mum called? Or maybe you remember eating ice cream and getting lost in the taste, not thinking about anything else.

Yes, it is much easier and more normal for kids to be in the present moment. In fact, it's not too much of an exaggeration to say that childhood is all about living in the present. We can see more clearly how babies, especially very young ones, can be aware of the present moment.

A child will only eat something in a certain way if he likes it. It doesn't bother him to eat slowly, enjoy the taste of his food, or play a game for hours or even minutes at a time.

Kids often act like the game they are playing is the most important thing in the world.

However, as we get older, this skill that we had as kids may be forgotten and finally go away. Most of us have been through this: When we were kids, we were definitely more real, honest, and in the present.

As kids get bigger and face new relationships, responsibilities, and judgements, this openness and attention may fade. So, helping kids keep and grow their conscious knowledge while keeping them from forgetting is a very important issue that needs to be looked at.

This is why doing exercises and other things that help you become more aware is helpful. It is possible to help kids keep, grow, and improve their open, nonjudgmental state through these activities.

They are more likely to keep this trait as they age if they start doing awareness exercises early on and make this thinking muscle stronger and more lasting.

By their very nature, kids explore their surroundings without any judgement. Parents and adults, it is our job to help kids develop this trait by showing them how to be conscious.
