I wouldn't even consider the battery manufacturers, because of rapid change in technology, competition and capital-intensive production. Solid state batteries are the next big leap forward and they need lithium as well. Apart from that lithium does not even make up a big part of the battery costs. Manufacturers are more concerned about securing enough battery grade material than about the price they are paying for it.
