Manipulative Measures

“When a measure becomes a target, it ceases to be a good measure.” - Goodhart's Law.

In other words, when we use a measure to reward performance, we provide an incentive to manipulate the measure to receive the reward.

This applies to making money or wealth as well and all other aspects of life.
