Fake it or make it?!

Fake it till you make it is the new slogan in town. Don’t get me wrong , I’m not against it (even that gucci bag in my closet
…)anyway my point is whoever came up with this slogan should have emphasized on exactly where it applies.
People out here playing with other people ’s feelings .You hook up with a guy for his money , suck him dry .Break his heart and when asked why you did what you did , you say fake it till you make it .How does that even make sense ? . So much fakeness out here ( even that person calling you fake is probably fake). It disappoints me to see that a vibe as natural as friendship is oh so fake.
What happened to the good old friendship where If a person rides for you ,they ride for you as a whole . Not for your money, not for the benefits that come with your friendship but because that person likes you for you.
I swear people out here have perfected this art . Guys out here even swear they’ll marry you just to get what they want after which they leave you high and dry . So many fake people that your number one homegirl is praying for you to break up with your man , you’re Best friend who isn’t your bestfriend but is your bestfriend is probably sleeping with your man , that girl you call sis has probably trash talked you countless times . Your go to doesn’t even like you.
Nowadays girls are so hungry for attention and competition that it takes a guy less than a week to break up a seven year friendship . Since when did it become guys before girls. A guys friendship so tight that no female can ever come in between. Their bro code so tight not even Beyonce can break it .A sister code though ….
Nowadays most girls are on Instagram flaunting fakeness in an attempt to attract the hottest looser who probably doesn’t even like girls like you. It’s funny how we’re trying so hard to score we’ll do anything to win. Your hair fake( mine Brazilian too sister), those boobs you’re exposing fake, your ass fake . Your nails fake , your lashes fake . That lifestyle your flaunting on social media fake, even that dress your snapping with is borrowed.
We ’ll try as much as we can to keep up with the latest trends , even if It means frustrating ourselves just to get there . Everything on social media is all rainbows . None of them actually show us how much hard work it took for them to get there. None of them show us just how hard it was to get there .
Everything on social media is so perfect none of them show us about they’re struggles , none of them will tell us you don’t score with your first try . We all want to make it so bad that we don’t mind stepping on each other , double crossing each other or even taking the shortest routes just to get there.
Truth is we need each other and just because you take longer to get there doesn’t mean you won’t eventually. In an era where its so hard to get real people , keep the ones you have , In fact hide the ones you have ,treasure them so much that the thought of loosing them actually frightens you. Let ’s not fake it till we make it rather let ’s hustle till we make it.
