Most people think $100K a year is the dream. For many, it may seem unreachable. Some people that are making 6-figures a year think they’ve reached the financial pinnacle and are satisfied with what they’ve got. I’m here to tell you today whether you already make $100K or only dream of it, don’t make $100K your goal—it’s simply too small.

You want 7-figures a year as a target. Whether you currently make $50K or $150K a year, you need the $1,000,000 target. I’ve said before that the millionaire is the new middle class, so I’m not just talking about having a million dollar net worth—I’m talking about you making a million dollars a year.

People who have a million dollars are mere millionaires, people who make a million dollars a year are the real millionaires.

To make $1,000,000 in 12 months requires you to pull in $83K a month. Believe me when I tell you it will be easier to make $83K a month than $83K a year. Making under $100K is hard work, isn’t it? When you start making more it’s not that you’re working 10 times longer, it’s that you’ve learned to work smarter and you’ve skilled up along the way to know how to move products and services.

Until you fix your economy, it won’t matter what the economy does. I'm telling you, 6-figures a year is a trap—you want and need 7-figures. Too many people have bought into the idea that 100K is enough, and they are still living paycheck to paycheck. Do you know how many 6-figure earners are just getting by?

As a recent CNBC article* noted, “if you are earning six figures and you feel like you are struggling, it's not like you are crazy," said Mandi Woodruff, MagnifyMoney's executive editor.

"Fixed expenses are increasing at a faster rate than incomes, making it harder to live the lifestyle our parents lived ."
While that same CNBC article recommended you just cut back, I have a better suggestion: increase your income.

It’s 2017, $100K is not enough anymore.

6-figures is an abyss that makes you feel like you’re doing better than the masses of 5-figure earners, but in reality leaves you only just getting by still.

6-figures will not buy you financial freedom, and it will not buy you the kind of real estate you need (30+ doors).

I created the 10X Growth Conference to get you up from 6-figures (or even 5 figures) to 7-FIGURES.

Don’t let 3-figures ($995) separate you from your $1,000,000 ANNUAL income.

Be great,

Very true @grantcardone Steem Dollars are more precious than Gold right now!

thanks for the heads up!

Yes, at this point $1 million a year seems to be the minimum you need to have a lifestyle you could consider rich, and to be safe financially, whatever comes you way.

To be honest, I'll be satisfied with 333K per year. :) This post looks like an advertisement to buy Cardone's books. :)

It would have been much more interesting if there was an explanation of how to and what to and etc.

I hope you understand me right and do not take this comment badly.

Grant you're a mega inspiration to me. Thanks for the consistent value bombs!

This reads a bit bizarre to someone like me who is making less than 10k a year. But hey, good to dream high, right?

Depends on where you live. If not in a developed, capitalized country with access to the trillions of dollars flowing around the globe daily then you can choose to dream (stick your head in the sand) or you can devote all your time and energy to up and out. Then max out activity. After a few years you might end up at 250,000 . Rinse repeat.

Good advice. Love the post.

Appreciate you sharing your thoughts to the Steemit community.

Appreciate you and all the inspiring you do.

God bless

From what I've read in your posts so far here, you actually don't need Steemit, and certainly not the money.

The most easy and simple way for you to get a bigger "audience" much faster would have been to "buy yourself in" on Steemit; give high upvotes etc. etc.
Just here to let you know I find it commendable to get this "audience" without doing what I just described.

Btw. like (most of) your stories.

How did I not know you were on here!
Lake Charles all the way brotha :D

Very well said.
