Eighth Month on Steem! My Progress so Far!
Yep! It's that time of the month once again! Time for my obligatory monthly report and a good time to look back to what I have done during the past month and show off some of my so-called "little" progress.

I know some of you hate seeing milestone posts like this one, but I personally do think that it is a good way of keeping track of your overall progress here in Steem. It also allows one to see what or what not works for you by seeing a one-month report. I myself love to experiment on many random things on this platform ranging from what platforms to use, whether to use bidbots or not and have even experimented on the effect of my self-voting, which was what I have experimented on for this month.
To people who just want to take quick look and judge my progress, let me just make it easy for you and start off with a quick summary:

A lot of things happened this month: STEEM falling down to below a dollar, SBD no longer being printed out and even people whom I have befriended leaving the platform. Aww
The major change that happened to me though was me exchanging my 1250 SP delegation for 170 liquid STEEM. It was honestly a hard choice to make as I love the attention and power that comes along with the delegation. It also allowed me to freely delegate some of my natural SP (without coming off as too greedy) to communities that support content creators like @qurator, @make-a-whale and @silvergoldbotty in order to get a daily guaranteed upvotes from them in return.
For most of these communities, the more you support them (whether delegating more or through upvotes) the more they will support you back. So losing some delegation simply means, less upvote support from them which in turn means less upvotes for me this month. Going back to my progress:
Steem Power!
I now have a natural Steem Power of 746, an increase of +192 from last months 554. Impressive at first sight but I just really powered up 120 out of 170 Steem that I have received from @dimimp in exchange for the delegation. Thanks @dimimp!!! :) making my overall increase in Steem Power for this month only 72. Not that bad!
It is also worthy to note that for this month I challenged myself not to use any bidbots so I was expecting a far lower number. I took a snapshot of my wallet last month for simple comparison:

I did win some Steem/SBD's from joining contests, games and even got some a 2 SBD gift from @dlive though. But I think my #NoBidBot challenge wasn't that bad after seeing those huge increases.

Neoxian still is and hopefully will continue to be my biggest contributor with a whooping $59.59 upvote spread around on all 30 blog posts. Thank you very much Mr. Dragon!!!
Next are platform and community votes which I also have been relying mostly for 2months in a row now ever since I started using bidbots less and less (no bidbots for this month though).

Guess who hates @dlive and @dtube now? LOL I would still continue to use DLive though as when I'm busy or too lazy to write a post, I often ask adelair to do a quick live sketch for me via dlive. All is fine though as they don't take any cut on the potential payout. Same can not be said for DTube though. :)
With 9 out of 10 posts being upvoted by @steempress-io, it looks like I now have a new favorite platform. XD As for @esteemapp's total upvote, yes that includes @esteemapp, @good-karma and @esteem.app total combined votes.
Last but not the least! First week of August I announced my #NoBidBot Challenge in which I took on a personal mission to not use any bidbots for this month. Well that ends now!!! Lol Well not really, but I will be pausing that idea for one day and for this post. I recently heard about an upvote bot called @bid.bot wherein it automagically upvotes your posts turning in some profits in return. Can't resist magic!
I have been hearing positive feedbacks about it and have been dying to try it for a while now as I am really a very curious person. I love to see how it works and see how it compares to just relying on platform votes.

Looks like the 1k SP is within reach now, probably a month or two and maybe three at worst from now at this rate. That's a big feat in just a year! Banzai! haha

You're making good progress!! And I think the nobidbot challenge is good, you're juat kidding yourself with bidbots
Thanks! Truth be told, I used to love bidbots, as without them I would not have gained the attention of some dolphins, orcas and people with the same interests as mine. Money-wise it wasn't that profitable but it did increase my visibility in the platform back when I was just strarting out.
However, lately (or for months now) people have been relying too much on bots, selling their votes and delegating most of their SP's to them which decreases the overall human activity on Steem. Added with the current price of Steem, I just decided that it is time to stop using it.
Although I just heard about @bid.bot, so I'm temporarily pausing my nobidbot rule only for this post. :)
