Galactic 123 Online Progress - Screenshots
Galactic 123 Online will be a free to play web browser game. It will have a variety of features. Below is the character selection screen when a player first registers. Players walk up to the desired image, and when done, walk down the door. The policeman allows to choose a class (warrior, mage, etc). It is possible to keep making more changes, until the player finally leaves the room.

Galactic 123 RPG is also being developed, and will be a single player game. This version, the single player one, will be a scifi role playing game (RPG) that will be released for Windows and Mac OS. It will follow the adventures of three space pirates. Features include many different item types (defensive and offensive), skills, and enemies are seen on maps (no random encounters). Have they made any improvements on that engine? I kind of gave up on it after I had many issues with lag and functionality, moved to Fusion.
Do you know how to start a group on here? I think we need a GameDev group, because there are a few of us here now.
I'm using RPGMaker MV, which can create HTML5 games. Its programming language is JavaScript. Yeah it tends to lag a bit if you go too crazy placing events and the like, so from a developer's point of view it is always necessary to consider what is efficient. I'm using a lot of custom assets and scripts, to cuztomize the resulting games as much as possible.
TL;DR: No specific improvements have been added in the efficiency department, but if you use common sense, should not be a big issue.
JavaScript is being helpful for the MMORPG aspect of my project, allowing communication with server scripts (PHP, etc) and databases.
Javascript was a big reason I was excited for RMMV. I was never super familiar with Ruby, but I know a little JS.
Do you have an account on RMWeb? Or RMN? If you have a game page on the internet, I'd love to check it out and follow.
Right now I don't have an account on either site. The game page would be Galactic123.Com but I havent added too many info or updates. So I mostly post about the game here in Steemit.
About starting a group here, I'm not sure... I think we just add the gamedev tag to our posts. I just updated this one. If you make a post add the gamedev tag somewhere too in the tags field.

Is this the same game or are they different games?
Same universe, mostly same graphics and resources, but essentially two games. The MMORPG allows you to customize your own character and such. The single player follows a specific set of characters and storyline.

Similar resources, yes. But one is online where you play a custom character while the other is a single player adventure with specific characters / plots.
