Growing up!

Today I made my first delegation! For me, this is a true milestone as I can finally turn around and support those who have supported me in my first months on Steemit! It is a great feeling, just like when you first earn your first paycheck!

@mrsquiggle is the curation account for the #teamaustralia community (support accounts @teamaustralia and @centrelink). I first heard of #teamaustralia about a month after joining Steemit, they have a friendly community (my first contact was with @choogirl) which is incredibly supportive (both on Steemit and on the community Discord). I have to say, it is likely that without their encouragement and material support, it is not likely that I would have made it past the first couple of months. Starting out on Steemit can feel very lonely without support or a community behind you, it can be daunting and incredibly depressing to feel like you are posting into an abyss.

My account is not big, but I owe everything to the support of the #teamaustralia community. I am proud to give back to community via the @mrsquiggle curation account. It helps that you have taken the form of a fond childhood memory!

In addition, I will be writing a post every couple of weeks about Australia to donate the SBD earnings to grow the @teamaustralia account (this was a suggestion from @mazzle). It is my little part to recognise the help that was given to me, and to help those that come after me!
