Microinverter Components

Basically speaking, the microinverter or also called solar cell is an electronic plug-and-use device that converts AC to direct current (DC). The Microinverter is not only found in solar cells but also in many other electronic devices that work on batteries such as calculator, cell phone charger and others. This device has the ability to convert AC to DC very easily. So, it is also used in many other applications also.

Microinverter is a device used in many applications where you need to convert direct current (DC), i.e., electricity, to alternate current (AC). In simple words, the micro inverter is an electronic inverter or a transformer that is used to change direct current (DC), i.e., electric current into alternating current (AC), i.e., the flow of current is switched over from battery to generator and vice versa. Microinverter is one of the components of solar energy converters. Microinverter is made of many different components including; photoresistor, thermal expansion valve, thermal resistance material, coupling to output terminals, electrical connector and others.

As already explained above, Microinverter is an electronic component of a solar panel system. It is designed to automatically control the switching process of DC to AC power by switching the power switch on and off at selected ampages. Microinverter is very useful for a wide range of applications in the electronic and electrical industries.

Microinverter is often built within the residential solar panel system or it can be attached to the solar array after it has been designed. The small size of the microinverter makes it quite portable and convenient to use as a component of the residential solar power systems. It is also suitable for use as a backup for grid back up. It is highly cost effective, i.e., the installation costs are relatively low. In addition, due to the large efficiency ratio of microinverters, it results in a very high saving on the energy consumption of the household or commercial buildings.

Due to its high efficiency and small size, the Microinverter performs very well in converting the DC energy into AC energy. However, the Microinverter is not very efficient at converting the AC energy into the alternating current, i.e., the power required for the various appliances present in your home or office. There are two main types of micro-inverters. These are the stand alone microinverters and the combination of the stand alone and the power optimizers.

Stand alone microinverters, also known as aPSI microinverters, come with a single wire connection. This means that the input voltage to the microinverter is directly proportional to the output voltage produced by the inverter. Stand alone systems microinverters have very limited options. They are limited to the frequency of operation of the inverter module and the number of modules connected to the micro inverter. This means that they are only suitable for systems that require a single type of module.

Microinverter combination systems are used most often. A solarbridge is combined with the microinverter and the input and output voltages from the solar bridge are then coupled to the micro inverter. The main advantage of the combination system is that it allows the maximum amount of energy from the sun to be converted into AC electricity without hampering the performance of the micro inverter itself. This type of solarbridge is also capable of connecting directly to a battery.

Microinverter strings are another popular option for AC solar products. Microinverter strings are generally less expensive than standalone microinverters and do not need any other connection to the battery or to the other solar products in the string. Microinverter strings are available from many different solar products manufacturers including solarbridges, microinverters, as well as string inverters manufacturers.
