Rice Kheer.

  • 50g basmati rice.

  • 500 ml cow milk.

  • 100g sugar.

  • 1/2 tsp cardamon powder.

  • some dry fruits like almonds, raisins, cashew.

  • Wash and soak rice for 15 to 20 minutes. Drain the water.

  • In a deep microwave safe bowl, mix milk, rice and cardamon powder and boil at 500W for 10 to 15 minutes. Stir in between. Then microwave again for 5 minutes.

  • Add sugar and microwave at 500W for 15 to 20 minutes. And than again at 300W for 10 minutes.

  • Keep the bowl covered for 5 minutes.

  • Garnish with chopped dry fruits.

  • Rice kheer is ready.

  • Serve hot or chilled of your choice.

Kheer or Kiru (Maldivian: ކިރު) is a rice pudding from the cuisine of the Indian subcontinent, made by boiling rice, broken wheat, tapioca, or vermicelli with milk and sugar; it is flavoured with cardamom, raisins, saffron, cashews, pistachios or almonds. It is typically served during a meal or as a dessert. It is also known in some regions as payasam, payasa, and phirni,[3] while in Bengal the payesh is a variation of Kheer.

Wow... So many dishes I know nothing about. This looks good.
