Mr. Mountbatten being the British Viceroy of India at that time decided to announce the Indian Independence on the same date (15th of August) on which he had got the victory against Japan. Entire world heard the news on the radio of India getting independence on 15th of August 1947.

The people in India celebrated, but some of the astrologers were anxious, because the time of getting Indian independence according to the planetary system of the astrologers was worse and this was the reason for their anxiety. After all the formalities was completed Mr. Mountbatten would continue as the post Independent India's Governor General for 1 year. Mr.Mountbatten asked his secretary Mr.Allen Campbell to appoint an astrologer at the top level Advisory Committee.

Nobody could stop the power of astrologers regarding the time of getting the power handed over from the British to Indians. At last dharmachakra at the Ashoka Pillar on the King Ashoka present at Sarnath was continued in the national flag according to the parliament on july 22nd 1947. Mahatma Gandhi was not happy by this decision. He was not in position to accept the national flag which did not contain the spinning wheel. According to him the spinning wheel was not just reveal which would spin coating for him but it was a good luck for India. Mr Nehru try to convince Mahatma Gandhi by saying the wheel of the spinning wheel and the wheel of the Ashoka Chakra resemble and would spread the same message of development. The entire country was happy of getting independence but we had lost our muslim brothers to make their own existence as Pakistan. Pakistan Celebrates its Independence day on 14th Of August.
