Aryabhatta-The Genius mathematician

If I tell you that Indians know that earth is round and it rotates around sun and about it's own axis you might not be surprised.But if I tell you that one Indian mathematician proposed this facts about 1500 yrs earlier then that is something worth mentioning.
Yes today I will talk about not so famous ancient indian mathematician Aryabhatta.Aryabhatta was born in 476CE in bihar in Gupta era.He completed his study from university of Belanda(The oldest university of the world).His works in the field of astronomy, spherical trigonometry, arithmetic, algebra and plane trigonometry was way ahead of his time.His all major work was translated to latin in 13th century from the translated version european mathematician learnt to calculate the area of triangle volume of sphere as well as how to find the square of cube root.

WORKS:
His works in the field of astronomy and mathematics is in one word unbelievable how he done such works on that time is still a mystrey.He first proposed that earth is round and rotating around the sun and also circulating about it's own axis way before than Copernicus and Gallelio.Gave the explanation of Day and night in that basis.He also gave the explanation of solar eclipse and told that there is no light in moon it shines with the help of sunlight.
He calculated the value of π(pi){very importent quantity in mathematics}.He gave a rule to calculate π which in the translated form is
"Add four to 100, multiply by eight, and then add 62,000. By this rule the circumference of a circle with a diameter of 20,000 can be approached."
This implies that the ratio of the circumference to the diameter is ((4 + 100) × 8 + 62000)/20000 = 62832/20000 = 3.1416, which is accurate to five digit.He prepared a sine table with the help of different angle of sunlight at different time in day which give accurate values.
He also proposed a earth centered universe system and a model of solar system.Proposed the idea of gravity much before newton.Calculated the diameter of earth and distance of sun from earth which were nearly equal to the modern calculated values.He also proposed that Saturn has satellite like earth has moon and many thinks he must had made a strong telescope to observe this but that is an unproven fact.
Last but not the least he first brought out the conception of zero from hindu culture.Where a small dot is denote an absence of anything which later becomes zero and which is the most basic fundamental of modern mathematics and science.So being a 5th century mathematician he has such influence in modern science which is unbelievable.There is no information about his death.
