New Delhi: The Insurance Regulatory Authority of India (IRDAI) has made changes in health care policies for patients. According to the new IRDAI circular, now there will be insurance for teeth. Apart from this, stem cells, infertility and mental illnesses have also been included in the Medical Insurance Policy.

10 items removed from optional cover

In the new circular issued on Tuesday, IRDAI has removed 10 items from the Optional cover of Healthcare policy.
It involves dental, stem cells, IMFERTILITY, and mental illness. Apart from this, obesity treatment,
SUBFERTILITY, HORMONE REPLACEMENT THERAPY, Psychosomatic Procedure, Corrective Surgery for Refractive Error, Sexually Transmitted treatment of Disease, The expenditure on the treatment of HIV and AIDS has also been excluded from the Optional cover. After Excluded from Optional Cover, Insurance companies will Cover Insurance the dental problem.
Mental illness has also been covered by Insurance Companies
IRDAI has asked Insurance Companion to cover mental illness also in a medical insurance policy. IRDAI has revealed that mental illness will also be treated like physical illnesses.
