Few grate thing about Atal Bihari Vajpayee(a true gem of India)

our former prime minister and unforgettable atal bihari vajpayee died on past Thursday at hospital AIIMS New Delhi. He was admitted for nine weeks and was kept on life support system on Wednesday night after his condition was serious.
He was of age 93 and did several work for our India.

Things one must know about Atal ji
DOB: 25th of December 1924 Gwalior
jailed at very young age for opposing British colonial rule
supported Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh(RSS) and drop out his law course to execute and run RSS in 1950 and later on as a member of BJP.
Became freedom fighter during Quit India movement of 1942-45 and joined politics.
He was first head of government from outside the congress and served a full 5 yr term. He became PM for 3 times(1996,1998,1999)
After 4 decades in opposition he 1st became PM in 1996 and was on the post of PM for only 13 days.
he was conferred India's highest civilian honour, i.e. Bharat Rattan at his residence on march 27,2015.
he was the first person to give speech in Hindi at UNO.

Major contribution of Atal ji

1. Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan: it was one of the most largest education program in India and handled by statesman.
2. DMRC: in his governance the first physical line of metro was laid down which is one of the best metro system in world.
3. Golden quadrilateral: lifeline of trade came in to being existence in his time and executed by home minister rajnath singh
4. Pradan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojna(PMGSY) which aimed at linking of 5 lakh villages of India to cities.
5. operation Vijay: i dont think it requires any intro.it was one of the largest military operation undertaken by Indian army without crossing LOC and regaining territories of batalik sector, muskhosh valley, tololing hilltop etc.
6. Mastermind behind POTA: prevention of terrorism act.
7. wrote many books: Amar balidan, Mrityu hatya, Sansad mai teen dasak etc.
   
   Vajpayee ji is the only PM who was loved by all political parties.
