There is nothing new that when we grow old, our memory power reduces to a certain extent. This is like inverse relation between age and memory. But our daily lifestyle also affects the memory. Maintaining some good habits will recover this problem.
Its been a while since the researchers want to know how the functionality of brain can be increased even in the age of 70s or 80s. Researches say that the more you do exercise of your brain, thr more it's memory restored.
If you learn something new it will help in exercising the memory. Like learning something new musical instruments, or playing games like chess, or indulging yourself in some creative work such as painting or singing or learning any new language will help a lot.
You have to keep busy yourself in the work of your interest. You have to make daily list of what you are going to do through whole day so that you must not forgot. In this way, sometimes later you can memories your doings not by writing it on a paper. But don't be workaholic as it will rather damage your brain efficiency.
Everyday go to sleep at night in the same time & also try to arise in the same time in morning even in holidays also. Also don't go to bed too late; just within 10:30 pm. This practice will keep balance of the stability of your brain & thus you will feel healthy.
Switch off your brain from television, or your mobile phone or desktop for 30 minutes before going to bed. It will keep your eyes relaxed & so as the brain & you will have a good sleep before starting a new day.
