INDIAN PENAL CODE (IPC)

A substantive law which defines various crimes/offences that are punishable in India and prescribe the punishment laid down for the commission of that crime/offence.
For example; Section 300 of IPC defines what constitutes or what amounts to a murder and Section 302 of the Code prescribes the punishment for committing a murder.

Whereas Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) as the name suggests is the procedural law. It lays down procedure that is to be mandatorily followed while pursuring a case or you can say its the process of the litigation .CrPC also lays down the procedure to be followed by the police while doing their duty like filing of FIRs, investigation ,filing of chargesheet ,etc.

Section 307(Attempt TO Murder)

When a person tries to assassinate another person and fails to kill i.e the person who is attacked is not killed ,then the person who commits such a crime to be punished under Section 307 of the IPC .

Section 302 (Punishment for murder)

Section 302 is imposed on the accused in the murder ,If someone is provid guilty of murder ,then he can be sentenced to life imprisonment or a death penalty and fine.

Section 304 (Casuing death by negligence)

Section 304 (A) of the IPC is imposed on those whose neglience cause someone to die. Under this there are two years of punishement or fines or both .In case of accident ,this section is often used when someone dies.

Section 376 (Punishment for rape)

A person who is accused of raping women is lodged under section 376 of the IPC.

Section 395 (Punishment for Dacoity )

Section 395 of the IPC is for Dacoity .when 4or less then 4people are involved then Section 392 (punishment for Robbery ) is imposed, but if more than 4 people are involved ,then they are called Dacoits.

Section 377 (Unnatural offerences)

Unnatural offerences whoever voluntarily has carnal intercourse against the order of natural with any man, woman or animal shall be punished with imprisonment for life ,or with imprisonment of either description for a team which may extend to ten years,and shall also be liable to fine Under Section 377 of IPC.

Section 396 ( Dacoity with murder)

If any one of live or more person ,who are conjointly committing dacoity ,commits murder in so committing dacoity ,every one of those person shall be punished with death ,or 1(imprisonment for life ) ,or rigorous imprisonment for term which may extend to ten years, and shall also be liable to fine.

Section 365 (kidnapping or abducting with intent secretly and wrongfully to confine person)

kidnapping or abducting with intent secretly and wrongfully to confine person- Whoever kidnaps or abducts any person with intent to cause that person o be secretly and wrongfully confined ,shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to sven years ,shall also be liable to fine .

Section 141 ( Unlawful assembly)

If defines an unlawful assembly by declaring an assemblage of more than five person for any purpose specified in the section.

The essence of the offence defined in this section is the combination of several persons, united in the purpose of committing a criminal offence,and the consensus of purpose is itself an offence distinct from the criminal offence which these person agree and intend to commit.
