India's 18-year-old athlete Hima Das has won the gold medal in the 400 meters race of the IAAF World U-20 U-20 Championships held in Tampere City, Finland. Hima finished the race in 51.46 seconds and named it Gold.

Learn about special things about world champions: It is notable that Hima is the first Indian player to win the Gold Medal in a track competition globally. Earlier, no junior or senior female or male player in India won gold in the world championship.

Hima, who wanted to become a football player, used to play soccer with the first boys and wanted to make her identity as a striker. Just two years ago, stepping on the racing track and coach Nippon Das identified the talent and shot him.

Hima's coach believes that Hima achieved this feat after a very stringent training. In order to become an athlete, Hima had to leave her family and stay away about 140 kilometers away.

Even before this, Hima Das finished sixth in the 400m competition of Commonwealth Games played in 51.32 seconds in the Gold Coast in April.
