It is now official that there will be a movie based on the Metro 2033 book
It was mentioned many times in the past, but now we get even the date of the premier.
Many people like the Metro games and books. so it was only a question of time before they announce a movie based on the known series. The idea was popped up multiple times in the previous years, last time in 2016, the news were about that there were news plans are there, but nothing was made in the end. Now, however, it seems that they really make the first movie based on the book, which will be made by the Russians, more precisely the Gazprom Media. and Dmitry Glukhovsky joined as a creative producer.

Surprisingly the Russian premier will be on the 1st of January, 2022, but postpones may occur, as they are used to, or even that the international release could be expected later.
Ohh I read this book but didn't hear about movie. I think I'd like to watch it!

I have not read the book so far, but I watched some gameplays about it, and it looks interesting. I will probably watch the movie, if they will release it.
So we can only wait until official release, and then compare our expectations
