I loved this post. I think of this in slightly different terms, and it was really helpful to see it presented in terms of order and chaos.

One thing I would contribute is the importance of the transition from balance into equilibrium. Within balance, we're getting both facets of experience working together, and that's significant progress over the tendency to be dominated by just one and unable to cope with the presence of the other. But it's still too much work for life to be the joy it is intended to be.

With equilibrium we have completed the journey from unconscious incompetence, to conscious competence, to unconscious competence. The last being the ability to naturally flow in a way that maintains balance without our even realizing we're doing it. We become the state of balance, rather than performing it.
