#Ulog Day 4 : "Sharbat A Noorjahan" First Ulog Recipe

Hello Uloggers ! In my today's ULOG post, I am sharing a very special recipe "SHARBAT A NOORJAHAN" this name is given by one of the fans of this sharbat. It's actually known as Muharram ka Sharbat.It is its unique taste sweet chilled dairy drink. It will sure add a good taste in your menu.

As have nuts, almonds, sugar, milk it itself a energy drink will boost energy like anything. In our community, its prepared during the month of 'Muharram' & distributed among each other. As Our beloved Imam Husayn suffers due to thirst at incident if 'Karbala' It is thought it will add extra virtue to feed people juice/water/sharbat in this month.

Dedicated to #ULOGGERS and the one who requested me to make this.

Lets have a look what it will need & how I made it :

INGREDIENTS

  • *1Litre milk liquid milk
  • *china grass 50 grm
  • *sagu dana 2 table spoon
  • *tukma 2 table spoon
  • *sugar 4 table spoon
  • *food color green and pink
  • *Rooh Afza 1 cup
  • *Crushed almonds and cashews 1 cup

Method:

Boil the milk. Let it to cool in room temperature.

Soak tukma & sagu dana for 15/20 minutes.

Cook the sagu for 10 minutes with 1 glass water. keep staring. And then off the flame when it melts.

Take china grass in a pan. Add 1 glass water. Boil it until ir melts.

Pour it in two different plates. Add green color in one and pink color in other one. Let it cool and set.
After it cut into pieces it will look like crystal pieces.

Mix the soaked tukma with some amount of milk first then put it into the rest milk so it mixes welly, then pour prepared sagu dana, china grass crystals, rooh afza syrup 1 cup, crushed almonds, cashews into the milk. together. Allow to chill it in the refrigerator. Serve it chill! Enjoy!

By looking seems to me, taste will be great. I have to try the drink this Ramadan. Thanks for sharing.

You can go easy with it without adding china grass crystals.

You simply take 1 litre milk.
Boil & cool.
Add previously soaked tukma and sagu dana seeds (sagu dana need to be cooked ) , rooh afza syrup, sugar , crushed almonds cashew nuts.
Some also pour saffron. It's up to you.
Then enjoy the shahi drink.
