Merchant Tools Currency Conversions
We have pushed out an update this morning for the merchant tools. It is now possible to set a price in one of 20 fiat currencies or Bticoin/Ethereum and have the conversion rate to JSE calculated at checkout.
The following currencies are currently supported:-
BTC – Bitcoin
ETH – Ethereum
USD – US Dolar
EUR – Euro
JPY – Japanese Yen
GBP – Great British Pound
AUD – Australian Dollar
CAD – Canadian Dollar
CHF – Swiss Franc
CNY – Chinese Yuan
SEK – Swedish Krona
NZD – New Zealand Dollar
MXN – Mexican Peso
SGD – Singapore Dollar
HKD – Hong Kong Dollar
NOK – Norwegian Krone
KRW – South Korean Won
TRY – Turkish Lira
RUB – Russian Ruble
INR – Indian Rupee
BRL – Brazilian Real
ZAR – South African Rand
To set this up simply select a currency when generating your merchant payment button.
The conversion to JSE will be calculated in real time using the current rate on exchange and live forex rates.
This is available for both single payment and recurring billing where exchange rates are calculated on the day payment is due each week/month etc.
This is a step forwards in making the merchant tools easier to integrate with webmasters who are currently purchasing goods with fiat currencies. It offers a level of protection to fluctuations and volatility in the crypto markets.
The next step for the merchant tools is to introduce payments in Bitcoin, Ethereum and JSE all in one button.
