Merch By Amazon Purge? :( MUST READ If you have a Merch by Amazon business.steemCreated with Sketch.

I don't want to say its widespread panic but it's kind of widespread panic right now with regard to Merch by Amazon so if you're a Merch by Amazon seller pay careful attention to this video because it could save your account.

Last night I uploaded five designs to Merch my Amazon and today they all came back rejected - all five of them - now if you know Merch by Amazon, you know you don't want to get too many of those rejections because they add up, and over time, your account might be suspended (and therefore your chance to make a great, ongoing, passive income) so this is no little deal.

This is a big deal.

Today, I found out in a variety of different Merch groups and including our own "Merch by Amazon Success" group on Facebook that a bunch of people are getting designs rejected and the reason seems to be a new change or a change in policy that Amazon enacted, but of course, didn't tell us.

The change seems to be around describing the t-shirt itself.

So, using words like “quality” or “high quality” t-shirt.

Using words like “comfy”.

Using words like “state-of-the-art printing”.

Describing the sizes of the shirts that are available. (you don't want to do that)

Describing that they're available in men's, women's, and kids sizes.

Basically what it boils down to is, you do not want to describe the shirts in any kind of subjective way; you can only focus on the design itself and what the design is about.

So try to stick to just the keywords that relate to the design itself.

Of course, it goes without saying - don't ever use trademarked phrases and don't ever use copyrighted phrases. (we're way past that point, right?)

But be sure that you only describe the design itself and you don't say a whole lot, or really anything, about the t-shirt itself.

My five t-shirts got rejected I think because I used the words high-quality to describe the t-shirt and, apparently, Amazon doesn't want us describing the t-shirt at all…

They don't want us talking about the quality of the shirt.

They don't want us talking about the sizes that are available or anything like that.

So now, if you have any questions about this, just be sure to visit the Merch by Amazon success group.

On Facebook, just type in “Merch by Amazon Success” and join that group.

At the very top of that group, we have this topic pinned and you'll be able to get the latest information from all the sellers that are posting about their rejections.

What's happened is, I've seen some sellers have 20 designs rejected, even 40 designs rejected because of this change…

We don't know how many rejections it takes to lose a Merch by Amazon account, so this is very serious.

In fact, in my account we're deleting the words “high quality”, because in the second bullet point is where I talked about the shirt a little bit and I called it a high quality t-shirt.

But for now, the goal is to get rid of anything that says high-quality.

Get rid of anything that says “comfy” or “comfortable” or anything that talks about “state-of-the-art printing” or that talks about “men's women's children's sizes”.

Really, anything that describes the shirt itself, get rid of it.

Meanwhile, anything that describes the design itself, should be fine and of course it goes without saying don't ever use trademarks or copyrights.

See, here's the rule of thumb to use with Merch by Amazon.

Don't try to tread along that edge, ok?

Keep yourself safer than that!

Don't try to play an angle and say “Well, what if I do this?” and “I can maybe do this to get approved…”

Don't play that game!

Just play it super, super safe with your Merch by Amazon account.

We're talking about an account that can generate you a six-figure passive income, meaning, once you've got that six-figure income coming in, it's coming in and you don't have to do anything for it!

That is super-valuable, so don't take chances with your Merch by Amazon account.

Now, this caught everybody by surprise because we've been doing this for a year and a half / two years and never had a problem with saying “high quality” shirt until last night!

Merch does not announce this stuff - they just start banning, rejecting and declining and it's a little scary if you're a Merch seller and you want to do this for the long run.

So, let that be an alert for today…

I would recommend editing all your shirts if they have anything to do with the t-shirt itself, like we just described.

I would strongly recommend following us on the “Merch my Amazon Success” group on Facebook.

And, just be careful out there!

You do not want to risk your Merch by Amazon account.

It's going to be extremely valuable - it already is extremely valuable for me and for a lot of people, so play safe so you can “Live to Merch another day!”
