Are you taking care of your men’s thongs?

in #mens5 years ago (edited)

Everyone likes to wear erotic lingerie which has lace, cute prints, even if they don't feel comfortable in them, they still admire them. The reason, because they look very pleasing to the eyes. The type of color combination used in them gives a soothing feeling.

These styles treat you so well. They take care of your sex-appeal hence never let you down during intimate moments, comfort and support but have you ever realized how are you're treating them? For your briefs, boxers, trunks, and G-string all are the same.

One should know that delicate styles need extra love and care. You have to treat them gently so that you can stay with you a little longer.

If you are aware of their care instructions, that's wonderful but the ones who are still harming them and haven't realized it yet, ask these questions from yourself.

Question 1: Are you separately washing dark and light-colored ones?

The very first and basic rule which every man should follow is washing dark and light-colored men's thong separately if they don't want to ruin the tiny outfit especially the white ones. You can use separate wash bags to wash thongs underwear or wash them by hand.

Question 2: Are you washing your regular outfits and thong underwear separately?

After sorting them according to colors it’s time to wash regular garments and thong’s underwear separately. There are several reasons to prove that. First reason, your thongs underwear is made from delicate fabrics than the rest of your garments so there are chances that your lingerie might get tossed around in the washing machine, not only your lingerie but this can happen with your socks, handkerchief so be careful. The second reason, your delicate men's lingerie might sock colors from other clothing and you are not in the mood of experimenting with the color of your men's thongs. Your underwear last longer if you wash them separately in cold water and air dry them. It sounds like an extra effort but if it's saving your lingerie, then it’s worth doing.

Question 3: Are you checking the label before washing?

Check the labels before putting them in the washing machine. For underwear made with different materials, you should tackle them differently. If the label of your tiny attire says: wash them with the hand" go for it and if it says" don't you dare wash them in the washing machine" obey that and if it doesn't consist of the label (torn or something), wash them with hands, safety option.

Question 5: Is your detergent chlorinated?

I hope you are using the appropriate detergent for your gentle styles. For microfiber lingerie use detergents that are high solvent and not alkaline by nature. Bleach and fabric softener, especially the ones which contain chlorine are not advisable.

Chlorine is known for removing stains from white clothing. But you are not aware with a fact that chlorine is so bad for your clothes that it starts eating up the fibers of fabric that lead to thinning due to which threads start becoming smaller than leading to tearing of men's lingerie. The case of thread degradation due to chlorinated water is worse in cotton (natural fibers).

So which bleach to use?

First of all switch to soaps rather than bleach but if you are still using them, look for sodium percarbonate because of its gentle, color-safe and is a chlorine-free oxygen bleaching system. What else you require?
Chlorine bleach is also strictly prohibited on silk, acetate, wool, and spandex men's lingerie. Oxygen bleach shouldn't be used on wool lingerie.

Wash and care tips according to fabrics:

100% and stretch cotton.
100% cotton:

You can wash your cotton men's underwear like G-string, briefs, and thongs in the machine with lukewarm water and then air dry in shade. First of all, don't opt for tumble dry but if you still opting for it keep it on the lowest heat setting and remove it as soon as it gets dry.

Stretch Cotton:

Using bleach, fabric softener in lingerie is not recommended and if it’s stretch cotton, and then it’s highly prohibited. Also, the temperature of the water must range between cold to warm water, a big no for “hot water".

Microfiber:

A synthetic fiber that is finer than your thread is known as Microfiber. Microfiber thongs can be protected for a long time if taken proper care at the time of washing. Thongs for men made out of microfiber should stay away from fabric softeners and dryers and use cold to warm water.

If your underwear is made out of synthetic materials keep them away from heat as they can even melt in the dryer.

Natural fibers:

Modal, Bamboo are natural fibers so it’s important to wash dark and light colors separately.

Sheer or Mesh Fabrics:

You can never take a risk in the case of Mesh and Sheer fabric lingerie because these are extremely delicate and there are chances to get ruined. Cold to warm water and air dry, ideal options to keep them safe and sound. Dry them in the shade rather in direct sunlight.

Hot dryers tend to fade away the color of your underwear and destroy the fabric's elasticity and the waistband of your lingerie.

If you follow these simple steps, taking care of these delicate styles becomes easier. Similarly, if you purchase men's underwear from Mensuas, life becomes easier. They have a variety of styles in each category.
