The ICE 9 that I am trying to protect you from is an adoption of the material popularized by famous gold advocate Jim Rickards in his book The New Case for Gold.

Rickards believes that the financial system will one day follow historical precedents all over the world on a large scale and that all banking transactions will cease and your money will be locked up for an undermined length of time.

Have you thought about how you would pay for basic necessities like food if you were unable to use your checking\bank\creditcards\cryptocurrency for a few days, weeks or months?

It is difficult to envision such a scenario when we sit in comfortable heated homes with full bellies.

For perspective, just think about how dramatically unprepared you feel when there is an unexpected power outtage for a couple hours.

If you are like me, you mindless keep trying to switch the light on, open the fridge, and turn the tv on like a zombie forgetting every 5 minutes what happened.

(Or you have a Mene photo shoot like I did during a power outtage last year)

A financial power outtage for an extended period of time would change peoples thinking pretty quickly.

Most people keep exactly $0 in cash on their person or in their home in this digital age. Even if you have some fiat, that fiat has a counter parter who could theoretically devalue it over night. It’s happened before to various currencies aroud the world.

It would be beneficial to have something that be guarenteed to have at least some value (and probably an increasing value) in a situation like this.

Imagine peeling off a 24 karat gold or platinum charm or two to exchange for something you need ...like food. This requires no electricity, no internet connection, no banking system, no counter party whatsoever.
