The shark is the ultimate trash fish of the universe: they aren’t really edible, they attack humans, and they consume some gigantic quantity of ordinary fish that would otherwise be available for humans. The “balance of nature” would not miss them any more than it misses terror birds or carnosaurs. And, in all likelilhood, we could exterminate them for less effort and expense than we expend on one of our natofop/neoconwanker wars...
