What if the products we consume had the ailments it causes on the label? Would it change your perception of junk food? Have you ever heard of The Bliss Point? Look it up, it refers to a specific point in EVERY processed food product, the limit that most people will tolerate sugar before they get grossed out and stop purchasing it... One guy discovered that bliss point for so many things, and corporate r&d did the rest...
This is one of my collaborations with my good friend and conspirator, Artie Xia... I told him my concept and he did most all the graffiti part of it... Then I added some font details, and hurray! We have done a few pieces together, though nowadays we should be locked in a writer's room, cranking out comedy scripts for a pocket universe... LOL!

I like to take my frustrations out on dollar bills, and any other country's currency I can get my hands on... Ideally I would spend it so the message would get out there, but I sort of get attached to them, once I put in the time!

STOPThese are brilliant creations! I love the mix and mash process of what people create today. I find it really translates the zeitgeist by summing up the absurdity, horror, sadness but sometimes also the comic value of what happens in the world today in one small, absurd, but meaningful space. Especially the notes you draw on! I've seen another one you posted, they're really good! A similar project was started some time ago on Euro notes, people would write a few sentences about themselves, the idea being to get a patchwork of peoples real problems due to (lack of) money. Not sure it really got that far cos I never found one myself...
And did you do the Eatles animation??? Hahaha it is pure genius! Four thumbs up!
Haha, yes you nailed it, I do what I do until I don't need to do it cuz we changed the world! If humans banned advertising and spam, worldwide, I would just paint trees, or my nose... But the ads are so in my face, I decided to dedicate my existence to getting in theirs...
Circulation is the one thing I haven't been so good at... When I started the project it was supposed to be a teen workshop where I would teach the kids how to get their voice heard... Put your mouth where your money is, that was the name of the workshop... But it fell through, and the art got so detailed I knew I should keep ahold of them...

Yes mate, that is it! The change starts with oneself :) I used to do a lot more creative expression before but my way of finding sanity has changed to gardening now (tho winter means i'm back to creative stuff for the moment haha). NOT using roundup etc. of course! Instead there are methods that focus on building 'families' of plants that cooperate well together, resulting in gardens/farms where lots of plants are mixed in together. Rather than teaching us how to wage war against nature it teaches how to regenerate nature. Miles away from monsanto! :)
That sounds like a cool project! A shame you didn't get to finish it :( Do you work with schools or NGOs or something? I'm really into using research and management skills for activist groups and communities to achieve their aims and become more self-reliant. Using unconventional methods, like art, stories, journals, etc., give lots of quality detailed information. But as you say it can be overwhelming! :s

I think the soda companies need to help pay for some of these peoples diabetes medications. They are the number one reason everyone is addicted to sugar IMO.

You can get prosecuted here in the UK for defacing the currency. It's highly unlikely, of course, but true in theory. The other issue is we no longer have a £1 note. The smallest is £5, and now that and the £10 is made of bloody plastic, the smallest paper (easily) defaceable on is the £20, and I'm just not that wealthy right now!!
