Why stop at country? Life is a pyramid scheme. It was in the days of vassals, serfs, and slaves and so it is today, but with much more liberty and mobility. A clear top, a clear bottom, and lots of upwards and downwards mobility give us the strongest incentives possible to be good. I'm glad to live in a pyramid scheme. Life would lack orientation and feel pointless without one.
