MEEMIT: An Idea of a Steemit for Memes
Steemit is great. Writers can get paid for producing good work (or, at least copying good work to the Steemit Platform).
But what about Memes? The meme economy is huge, but it's relatively neglected. Imagine if you could get paid for creating memes, for curating and spreading them, for the memes to spread like wildfire and to live by them.
It would totally break the monopoly of content creation that platforms like Facebook and Twitter have. Everybody is posting their memes there, but no one's getting paid for it. And the memes are half the reason people stay on those platforms. If we had a whole dedicated meme section or site, it could really move people from centralized services to the blockchain.
