Steemit/DTube Meet-Up No. 3: Green Lung of Bangkok
Hello Steemian friends,
Yes, it's another post about a Steemit/DTube meet-up. That's two in one week! This time, we found ourselves back in Bangkok and meeting up with some more Steemians in real life! This meet-up was done on a Friday, so those who have full-time job couldn't make it, but still it was a great turnout. We had 8 (6 different Steemit accounts) people exploring and cycling around Phra Pradaeng (also known as 'The Green Lung of Bangkok').
Sam met Mo (@waybeyondpadthai) again, whilst it was Becca's first time. We also got to meet @mayasiam (Muay) and her friend, @kikima (Karen). Mo brought her friends from the U.S. over to see a part of Bangkok most tourists would miss. They have just recently signed up to Steemit, so give them some love - @hotboxtheplanet (Carlos), @wallawallabree (Bree) and @nicholiss (Nick).

It took forever to upload this as this video was ready over 12 hours ago! Thanks @waybeyondpadthai for the advice of using our private posting key to login to DTube rather than Steemconnect - it's great when Steemians help each other out ;)
Interesting. I have been trying to work on dtube with not much luck. I got two videos up but cannot watch anything on there at at - including this video and including mine. They will not even start for me. I will try logging out and trying this new trick!
Give it a go! It worked for us after the struggles of trying to upload it three times. Each time was 30 mins to upload, just to get an error sign even after it said it has uploaded. Then the advice came and we uploaded it within five minutes! 😊
I hope it works for me. I was taking 5 hours for a two minute video and the 5 minute one would not go up at all.
We know the pain all too well! One of our tries we left the computer on all night to no avail! @imtase also reckons it's a browser thing, which he heard from someone else. If you have time and dedication to try uploading a video then give both ways a go!
I'm also supposed to learn to "render". I have the software but not the brain!
The rendering process is to ensure the playback is smooth when you edit your clips to make a video. You can put a clip on the timeline of your software, but depending on the frames of the clip what usually happens is the audio is quicker than the image. The rendering process does take some time, but it helps editing massively as you know where to cut etc.
Great video, thank you @travelling-two :) To post on d.tube it's better to use the posting key? Why?
This was the advice @waybeyondpadthai gave us after we spent many hours trying to upload our video. From our experience we found using our private posting key rather than Steemconnect way faster and smoother to upload. There wasn't an "Error Unknown" message after clicking the 'Submit' button and wasting 30 minutes. 😡
Give it a try and see if you can tell the difference if you don't have any issues with Steemconnect.

I understand, I saw one guy preconise to use Firefox more than Chrome and to not try to upload more than 720p to be sure to not have error at upload and when someone want to read the video.
For my part I done for the 720p (same if make me little sad) but use Chrome without problem.
That could be another solution: to change browsers, but we use Chrome as well.
It's annoying that the videos can only go up to 720p and hopefully new updates will feature 1080. We believe the conversion is done upon uploading, but yes it helps to set it beforehand. Thanks for your take on this 😊

Yes, thank you. I have found a really cool community there with a lot of opportunities and great people. I love numbers, so I'm naturally attracted to it. It is easy to learn but hard to perfect (like many things in life).

That's great that you found your community on here. We're in a travel group on Discord that we enjoy engaging with as well as our own for those who are in Thailand and want to meet-up!
We haven't been getting any other cryptos just yet, but haven't sold our original lot either. Just been HODLing. We were interested in getting Smart Cash when it was at $0.10 but the exchange site we used asked for a minimum of a $100 buy and we only had $50 at the time (as that's what we had spare). We want to get 1,000 Smart Cash eventually as if we held it for a month in their wallet we would earn some Smart Cash. Another nice way of earning - through interest of some sort. We lost out on that price as we don't think it will go that low again. If it does, you know who will buy some 😉

Yes, we never thought we would be at this stage, but there are reasons for us to stay on.
We don't have any Smart Cash yet, but we have opened an account. However, since CryptoWolf doesn't exchange anything lower than $100 in value we haven't traded in for any SMART as we only had/have $50 spare. The rest is tied up in other cryptocurrencies. We'll get some eventually.

yeey it looks like you had such a great time. It's a pity that we did not make it this time. But we are going to be back in Bangkok, so I hope that we can all meet up then. Green Lung is such a gem in BKK, truly most of the tourists will not visit it and they would not believe that this place is in Bangkok!
We did! Becca loves going back to the a Green Lung especially as it's a quick escape from the city. We met three newbies on Steemit, who just got their accounts verified on the day!
It is a shame you couldn't make it, but like you said you will be back in BBK and we'll meet-up then 😊 Enjoy Siem Reap!

Thanks Mo. No, the first few shots were a steady hand on the GoPro stick. Didn't want to risk the gimbal getting wet as well as fall off the bike (like someone else we know hehehe).
Becca doesn't like speaking in front of cameras, so thus I said we won't do a vlog, just an introduction at the beginning. 😊

We had a blast! Love it over there. So chilled and relaxed compared to the rest of Bangkok.
