A SteeMeet' Ups, the key to build a strong community

A Meet Up is a social event, during which a community gathers around one or more common interests.

It is the result of an online connection to a real life encounter (IRL = In Real Life).

What's the point of Meet Ups?

As a networking evening, you meet people who share the same interests as you (see the subject of
the Meet Up) and in our case, about Steem!

So you have a great opportunity to exchange views on this subject.
Questions, doubts, ideas on the theme? This is the perfect opportunity to share all this!

Why participate in a Steem Meet Up ?

There are three reasons in particular:

  1. The network
  2. The network
  3. The network

Steemit is a platform that works thanks to the collective spirit. Going it alone (especially if you're just starting out) won't make it easy for you to succeed.

Participating in these Meet Ups will allow you to meet people with often good advice, and who may even be able to help you in the long run.

After all, imagine that there is a good feeling between you and X people you can meet, this could be a great opportunity to help each other on the platform!

You will also be able to expand your network more easily.
Who's already traced his little man's path? Who's still a newcomer and will have a lot of success on the platform? Or simply, who creates quality content?

By participating in these gatherings, you will surely encounter a whole bunch of different profiles, and as many meetings.

What's in it for me?

I think these Steem meetings can give you a real opportunity to increase your reputation.

Thanks to the people you meet, you will be able to expand your circle of IRL and online acquaintances. These create more possible votes, comments or resteems on your articles. Through a virtuous circle, the more people you meet, the greater the potential for your content to succeed.

Finally, undeniably, it is a plus for the human side. We create online communities, we meet on the platform, we discuss by the same means, and so on.

To finally be able to meet these same people (or new ones) in flesh and blood, and to have real conversations around a drink, in a good atmosphere, what is more fun?

I am convinced! How to participate?

You can browse sites such as meetup.com, eventbrite.com or peoplegogo.com to find events near you.

Unfortunately, there is a risk that you won't find it because the Steem community has an average of 20,000 active users per day in the world.

Good news, it leaves you free to talk about your organizing skills!

Search Steem for people who live in the same area as you, and plan a Steem day/afternoon meeting!

Book a space in a bar, meet in a park or around board games, or play a game of bowling! The ideas are numerous, and will make the event attractive.

These Meet Ups can also be great opportunities to showcase Steem's incredible social network! This gives you the advantage of inviting more people (your family, your friends, friends of friends, etc.), you will make others discover this opportunity, and you can become one of Steem's leaders and an inescapable figure in your locality!

Don't wait any longer, meet your fellow Steemians! Widen this circle, and build a community of people united around the same goal of growth and success.

You are fortunate to be one of the first to arrive (+-450.000 accounts created so far - November 2017. But only 250.000 persons used at least once their account. And, there are 85.000 monthly users and 55.000 monthly bloggers only).

Enjoy this advantage without moderation!

Who feels the soul of organizing a Meet Up close to home?

Sort:

Steemit meet ups are a great idea!!! I want to organize one in my area.
@karensuestudios and I have recruited about 10 friends to get on Steemit.
Only a few have been active lately... I need to get them fired up on it again!! 😉

Very complicated to keep our friends on the plateform... my problem too :-/ they don t seem to see the potential of it.
Hope you will find time to organise it in your area ! Share the pictures ! :)

Definitely a need to gather up the community and grow together !

J'espère que tu seras au Meetup en Auvergne :D @vlemon

Best advice I've ever seen
Deserve the upvote and comment and resteem

Agreed - we have monthly MeetUp in Munich and I even did some spontaneous ones during CeBIT. Relationship is very important - Now - Tell me - where do we meet the Big Whales only :-)?

Dear @uwelang, I have heard the Deutsh people are really motivated !! What's CeBIT ?
And to meet the big whales.... go at Steemfest :)

"CeBIT is the largest and most internationally representative computer expo. The trade fair is held each year on the Hanover fairground, the world's largest fairground, in Hanover, Germany - founded in 1970"

Seems not a lot whales been at Steemfest, as long as the handle in November I never might attend this.

Make a wide circle and good community is very helpful for all area. Its a good idea!! I am trying to build up a strong group to steemit. thanks. upvoted

Good luck with all your projects @akilasultana373
