I always do believe that constantly putting an effort no matter big or small will always be preserved and will eventually make a great result. I have always imagined the exponential growth of the community since the day we began raising awareness about this incredible platform. THE PLATFORM ITSELF, IT TALKS! Nothing is more inviting than reaping rewards by only doing the things that you love. What's always good about building a community is you meet unique people with different stories and you share common goals and passion.

Just one more month, I will be celebrating my First Anniversary being here in the platform. And it's indeed a wonderful gift knowing that I have made so much difference not just for myself but as well to others. The platform has taught me a lot of things. I learned to take the positives in and the negatives out. I have improved my intrapersonal and interpersonal skills. I am able to learn and share ideas. I am just really thankful being in a community which promotes respect and camaraderie. As I write to be honest, I am still whelmed from the support that each and everyone has given to make this event possible. And here's what happened.

Despite of the restless week, it has been concealed by the joy that I felt seeing people coming in and started greeting each other. Most of us really don't know each other personally. We are just all connected through the thoughtful comments and informative posts that we are seeing each day in the platform. Until then, meet-ups were created wherein ideas and people have become a reality.

It's such an honor to get to know these wonderful people who are actively showcasing the things they're good at and continuously inspiring others to do the same. I am more than amazed knowing that the participants do come from different walks of life. From all ages and races having distinct personalities. It's just extremely motivating to hear the reasons why all of us keep on going on. We are all doing this because we are all fighting not just for our dreams but also for our families. We all have high hopes and faith that the STEEM platform can give us the time and financial freedom that everyone has been dreaming of. But the real treasure that the platform truly gives you is that the gift of community. The friendship that is forged and being molded into a family. That's the true essence of having a community.

This is me giving them heads up of what's the agenda all about, laying down all the topics to be discussed and who are the respective people assigned in each topics.

We gathered everyone outside the cafe and tried to explain the flow of the event. We opted to divide everyone into three groups facilitated by the STEEMPH.CEBU Core leaders and other fellow steemians who are willing to share their ideas to everyone. The respective teams are the newbies , existing users and the international users . We also gave everyone a heads up of the discussions and activities that will be conducted during the event.

We also had financial literacy session with Ms. Sheila Mae Unabia @smaeunabs together with her friends @jcvertucio and @namranna. It's really imperative to educate ourselves on how do we effectively manage our money and time. Achieving financial freedom doesn't happen just in a blink of an eye. You really have to work for it. You need to maximize the growing potential of your money through profitable investments. We also discussed and shared ideas about CRYPTOCURRENCY and BLOCKCHAIN.

This is a healthy challenge for us knowing that the number of newbies are constantly increasing in every meetups. Discussing the basic things about the platform, how it functions, how people earn, the terminologies and how to constantly grow yourself as a minnow in the ocean.

I even got excited and challenged for the reason that most of the participants are already professionals and been through a lot in their lives and here we are sharing this blogging platform and the community to them and will continue to guide them as long as we can still be of help. By the way these are the people from LAPU-LAPU CITY, I know it's too inconvenient for them to attend since it's very far from their place but still they made it. I do highly appreciate your time and effort.

The community also promotes diversity! We can also basically learn and understand culture differences through communication. It means that a community as a whole can also relate to a larger population in the platform. Having international steemians in the community helps each and everyone gain diverse cultural perspectives and it can inspire us more creativity and innovation.
