CryptoWorldZug meetup 11/04/18 recap

in #meetup6 years ago

We have been hosting a crypto trading meetup in Zug for roughly 3 months now and in the beginning it was a small group that gathered in the office of SIP in the centre of Zug that we were gratefull to be able to use.

Then the group grew and we were forced to look for some place bigger

So now we have found this amazing new co working space in the center of Zug...

Last night was then the official transition from the name crypto traders zug to CryptoWorldZug

The new meetup group can be found here:

https://www.meetup.com/Crypto-World-Zug/

so go on ahead and join up if you are able to make it and live close enough.

Yesterday was a test run of our new model but we were really happy to have some new faces showing up and eagerly participating.

So firstly we discussed a bit the new structure and what we expect to happen.

And we all sat very nice like in a classroom on the benches listening to the teacher until one very wise lady pointed out that this was a sharing meetup and we all then immediately changed the arrangement and formed something more in our style. This also immediately improved the dynamic of the group and the participation. (and I must say my hair looks quite good in this pic)

Then there was the usual round of bitcoin predictions and more importantly why it would go where
Now the general consensus was short term bearish or flat and long term bullish so it goes to show that we really know what we are talking about... But on the other hand thats what we are all there for. How to be able to read the market better and to understand Lady Bitcoin more (Fares said bitcoin was a person, I say its a woman, no man has that many mood swings)

this green HUGE candle took almost everyone by surprise I would imagine (even though there must be some that had those long positions ready I know it wasnt me)

So here is also a rough sketch on how we would like to schedule the meetings from now on. We might shuffle the time blocks around but only time and experience will tell us what works best. (any feedback is welcome)

Thanks for this awesome recap @felander! Unfortunately, I couldn't be there, for the first meet up in this awesome new place. Looking forward being there next time!
Cheers - @sblue

are you coming this wednesday?

Hey @felander! Yes, I plan to be there today. See you later! 👍

Awesome Meetups! Thank you Felander for these weekly recaps. I am happy to be part of this circle! Enjoy the weekend.

you are very welcome... we enjoy having them

Wish I could get a meetup in Missouri in the US. Sounds fun and informative!

well, there is a way to get one, organise one, thats what we did

I am sorry to say that live nowhere near ZUG. I would have definitely liked to join this group. I do not know the people but think the syllabus as as solid and complete as it could get. Particularly considering that you guys would only be able to meet on Wednesdays.
I hope you would be able to post about the update of the progress of the group. Thanks!

that is the plan, weekly updates on what we are doing and maybe even knowledgebase on the site
