SoCal Steemit Meetup - Whittier Narrows
Last Sunday we had another #socalsteemit meetup!!
This meetup was at the Whittier Narrows park in Los Angeles county. I drove down to the park early and found us a nice picnic spot by the lake.
I also picked the spot by this cool dragon painting as I thought it would be a good marker to help people find us. And although we still had a bit of trouble with everyone finding us I think the dragon helped.
Once there I got the tables setup and started setting up all the food, and as usual I brought WAY too much food! But for me making all the food is part of the fun! As I was finishing setting up some members started to arrive! And since this meetup was at a park many of us brought our doggies along for the fun, so we also had a nice group of SoCal Steemit dogs! We all had lot's of fun meeting each other and eating food and talking about all kinds of topics!!

All in all it was a really great time, and I really want to thank everyone who came out! I look forward to more meetups in the future, getting to meet more new members, and continuing to grow this great community @socalsteemit!

Thank you @mrday! I had brought my fishing pole and some lures in case anyone wanted to try some fishing, but we're all to busy talking and eating!

You should of had one of these when I was in San Diego ...
You just happened to be there at the wrong time, cause we've had 2 meetups in San Diego now! Had one early March and one early April.
Wow, that is awesome! Looks like it was a great meet up! Wish I could have snuck in and try some of that delicious looking food!
I wouldn't mind doing this type of meet up with a beautiful view and yummy food!

I agree, it's so exciting to meet other Steemians! Since we all have at least one thing in common (steemit) it's always really easy to start talking. Next thing you know we're talking about our different ideas and hobbies and it all just flows.
