Our First Steemit Meetup: SoCalSteemit's 3rd Meetup - Sunday In Riverside, CA
Happy and Buddy here, so we hacked our Mom's account to tell you about the awesome SoCalSteemit meet up we went to this Sunday in Fairmount Park in Riverside, CA.
We knew something was a foot when our human parents @beckymeep and @CSUSBgeochem1 started packing coolers and getting our camp bed ready. This only means one thing, an outing! We were disappointed the tent didn't get packed, as that meant we weren't going away overnight. But where were we going?
We were trying to guess when we exited the freeway, but hadn't been here before. Next thing we knew we were in a massive park. There was a lake:
an amphitheater:
and children's climbing frames, as well as lots of tables and benches. The section you can hire had a live band playing a good selection of music for everyone's pleasure!
We found @derekrichardson and @rt395 in the park and the humans started setting up the tables before the others arrived:
We were excited to be in a new place and meeting new people, so Mom took us for a walk to get some energy out. First we headed over to the lake:
Buddy loves ducks and would have happily gone in the lake to catch one!

We strolled over this cute bridge to carry on our walk before the others arrived:
Once we got back some more SoCalSteemit members had arrived and to our delight hot dogs started getting cooked!
@rt395 then put some steak on:
This must have tasted good as we didn't get a look in!
By now everyone had arrived and they were all chatting and eating together:
Everyone was really nice and made us feel part of the group. We decided we could be the mascots for SoCalSteemit!
We did get some burgers! and the humans all seemed happy with the variety of food everyone had brought to share:
Once the sun started to set, Mom took us for one last walk (to go potty) before leaving. This meant we missed out on the group photos, but we loved meeting everyone and hope to see them all again soon.....maybe some of the others will bring their furbabies to the next meet up!
