The African Women Initiative For Agricultural....

in #meetinglecture6 years ago (edited)

Taking a good look at our dwindling Nigeria/Africa Economy, the women are the most affected. They do not only think of IMG_20180809_164903.jpgthemselves but also their Children and their husbands. Women are more in most gatherings. Yesterday, the 8th day of August, 2018; the Coordinator and one of the Executives of the African Women Initiative for Agricultural and Rural Development based in Abuja came on a seven-hour journey to Sabongidda-Ora, Owan West in Edo State, through Port Harcourt in Nigeria. The aim is to sensitize the people on why they should enjoy the labour of their 'sweat.'

Many struggle endlessly, and have nothing to show for these struggles. Many of the so-called NGOs use them to enrich their selfish pockets, they have refused to tell the Women the naked truth that; except they come together in unity of mind and purpose the Government cannot help them to achieve their financial aim. It is just like beating the wind. The Coordinator then asked, how many of these NGOs have been able to source loan for them. The people chorused, no-one, but the people keep spending for fake forms and opening uncountable Bank accounts. IMG_20180808_155627.jpg

This godly minded man did the 'nail on the head' lecture. He said, the Government has interest and everything on ground to help the masses, but the question is "Who is worthy to pass it on to the grassroots?" Initially, Government released some financial aid but the 'unfaithful high and Mighty' didn't see the need to; so was diverted, meaning the song by JIMMY CLIFF.... "the rich gets richer and the poor gets poorer, suffering in the Land," it's still what is going on....... Except the FAITHFUL sleeping giants wake up to the task before them, suffering will continue in the Land.
The man of God said, we are so blessed in this Our Country, Nigeria. We have a lot of resources - on land, on trees, sea, under the sea, hills mountains, in the caves, vegetations everywhere - fruits and vegetables, cassava, maize, plantain etc, the list is uncountable - yet people feed on an average of less than $2 per day (#700.00 seven hundred Naira a day.)
The Government of our Nation is asking, "Whom will I send and Who will go for us?"
At the end of the day the people were enlightened and have agreed to do the needful. By God's Grace, I hope to bring you the positive result of the outcome of this meeting in my future posts.

Thanx for your time.
