Wherever You Are, Get Your Butt On Chair

in #meditation6 years ago (edited)

We don’t just need great benefits from our meditation practice. Another critical component of a good meditation practice is that it is robust and can be done anywhere anytime no matter what you’re doing.  This means that staying regular is easier – compared to requiring silence or that “special chair” or the app or the guide or the music etc. All of those things end up getting in the way of a regular practice.

Vedic Meditator Monica Bravo of Blissful Living Blueprint and The Wellness Center Of Sonoma County has organized a bunch of group meditations for Vedic Meditators using the online meeting tool Zoom.  But Monica has children and bills to pay so she did what all sensible Vedic Meditators do and pulled up a bench with back support, zoomed into the meeting with the rest of us and dived into bliss.  Meanwhile her child is rockin’ the soccer field getting his skills up and his ya yas out and Monica can tick several things off the task list.

  • Get child #2 to sports game – tick
  • Get butt on chair and meditate – tick
  • Receive benefits of Vedic Meditation such as reversal of biological age, reduced rates of cancer, heart disease/attacks, greater clarity and focus, more efficiency and a happier life – tick
  • Comes out of meditation ready to take on the trials of the day – tick
  • Receive benefits of being a parent – tick
  • Make best use of time - tick

How To Get A Rockin’ Meditation Practice Happening

  1. Get professional instruction in
  2. A time tested practice with results
  3. And sit down close eyes and meditate wherever/whenever you are (safely of course)

Meditation is a “mechanical process” like brushing teeth. You gotta do it to get the benefits. So do what you gotta do to get butt on chair and as always I look forward to hearing from you and answering questions about your practice.
