How I Got Interested in Meditation and Why I Keep Going

About 16 years ago I had a lot of down times and bad things happening......I was in the midst of a broken relationship with a guy who was continually gambling our money away.....which frustrated me to no end.....this led to many fights and arguments then in turn led to him being mean and emotionally abusive (though he would never admit that to this day).
When he finally left his words to me were "you will never make it without me".
I wanted so badly to show him just how wrong he was.......so I worked hard kept my home and practically new SUV and paid all my bills all on my own......plus I even had extra to do the things that made life worth living back then.....happiness and gratitude for what I still had, my self respect and peace of mind without that negativity in my life.
During that time I began my journey of becoming self taught in meditation and mindfulness.......I worked hard at learning to quiet the chaos in my thoughts and relax my mind, body and spirit. It has been the most rewarding thing I have learned to do.
Over the years and through some stressful ways of working from home I met a very special lady I am proud to call friend....
She teaches Infinite Possibilities and the art of being happy.....through her workshop something inside me changed for the better yet again..........it has taken my on another journey I can add to my meditation practice......
I am now a Certified Integrative Mental Health Coach and a Meditation Guide, I write my own meditations for groups or one on one sessions to help others learn or deal with life stresses and more. I have a zest for life I thought long gone and a peace of mind that leaves room for the gratitude far all that I have in life these days......a great group of friends that I call family.....a great guy I love to no end and the chance to start a business of my own and work toward helping those that need what I have to offer..................
Life is good and the possibilities are infinite..........
