Doc, I am tired. Medical Contest (medtest) #4
A patient with fatigue and low energy
As mentioned by @gallantmayor medtest #3 was a bit more difficult. I have to keep trying to find a good match for our medical audience on SteemIt. So this time I will offer you a blood test to read and analyze.
This patient is complaining of feeling generally unwell, tired all the time. Her blood test is shown here, normal values are in the right column.
Please create a post with answers to the following questions about this patient's Cause of Fatigue:
- What is the abnormality on her blood test?
- What are some possible causes of this condition?
- How would you investigate the cause and treat this condition if this was your patient?
You have till next Saturday, Jan 27 to write a post with your answers. I will review the entries and announce a winner on Sunday Jan 28.
Good luck and have fun!
Contest rules:
- Create a post with your answers to the questions listed here. Copy-paste from medical textbooks is not allowed, it will disqualify your entry. Be as complete as you can, don't worry about English grammar/mistakes, as long as people can understand your post, it's all good.
- Include a reference/link to this post in your post;
- Include a tag #medtest in your tag categories at the bottom of your post, feel free to copy my tags if you wish;
- Leave a comment here with a link to your post, to help me find your entry;
How to create a link on SteemIt
To help you with all this linking business (we don't have to be all computer wizards for this ; ) - here is an example how to create a link:
- put a name of your post in square brackets like so [name of your post]
- put a url of your entry in round brackets ( ) immediately after the square brackets. For example my first medtest post was at the url (https://steemit.com/medicine/@steemulator/medical-contest-on-steemit) You can copy the url of your post from the address bar of your browser.
The winners gets a prize of 0.5 steem.
Future steem income generated from the contest will be used to fund more contests and bigger prizes.
If no winning entries received for this challenge the prize will be moved to the next medical contest.
- follow @steemulator so not to miss the new #medtest and winner announcement.
- check the tag #medtest regularly to see yours and your colleagues posts.

I feel like I'm back in school
is it a bad feeling? ; )
No :)
Glad to hear that. I am trying to make it different from school - you can skip the classes (contests) without penalty, although I am hoping they could be fun to play : )
Thank you for stopping by to check it out and your vote of confidence!
