The greatest pharmaceuticals in history...

in #medicine7 years ago

Our disconnection with nature has led us to depend on a synthetic version of it for a "healing" that does not work, or perhaps it's intentionally made not to work and to make things worse. Pre-modern man managed to survive the hard day to day life without Advils and amoxicillin, yet today people can't help but think that modern pharmacology is an integral part of sustaining human existence. Being born and growing up in a world where medications are a dime a dozen I never really thought about how man survived all these thousands of years without pharmacies that sell NyQuil or dozens of vaccines. I always thought that we're just such a weak species that gets a lot of diseases and needs to be prescribed pills that have a ton of side effects; it was just the normal state of mind. But little did I know man always had pharmacies of a different kind, ones that stocked the greatest kinds of medicines to treat various ailments. Nature is the grand pharmacy and the plant world are it's prescriptions. They heal without hurting or causing side effects, yet our modern day medicines don't do either of these. Pharmaceutical drugs are neither unique nor effective, for they are copied from a natural compound found in a plant and made into a version that is synthetic. Nature cannot be patented, but a synthetic version of it can.
So today we're fed tons of propaganda about numerous pharmaceuticals that claim to help fix our ailments, instead it causes more problems for which we need more toxic pills. It's a sick cycle; let's turn to nature, those plants that were designed specifically to work with our bodies...our original and natural local pharmacy.

Well said ebroncy a great reminder.. its a cycle that we all need to snap out of sooner than later. I use herbal and they are so much more healing without terrible side effects. Additionally herbs combined with fruits is the best combo for healing.

I think people are become more aware, very awesome thing.
