Now it is possible to answer questions and earn, it is also very possible to ask questions and earn. By now I assume you have already come across platforms like Quora and this particular platform represents a perfect model of Quora but with payments in cryptocurrency. I have been using Quora for more than 7 years now and I honestly appreciate the curiosity in this community, the only thing lacking in Quora, in my opinion, is blockchain.

The Internet has really evolved to valuing information and content creators, gone are the days when average content creators had to struggle all the way through just to appreciate their efforts. Today information is valued so much that platforms like Quora have come up to successfully recognize people's direct opinions on a lot of things. First, it was Yahoo answers which used to be a valuable platform for seeking answers and now that we have seen many initiatives coming up, in support and love of blockchain I was able to recognize Musing, what some people refer to as Quora on Steem. It has been gaining its ground recently due to the fact that content consumers can be able to reward content creators directly through upvotes and these upvotes are only a representation of real money in form of a cryptocurrency called Steem.

Musing has a variety of preferences for anyone through insights and knowledge because the topics on which you can respond range from personal opinions to more 'fact-based' answers, so in my view, this means there must be something for everyone to share and possibly get rewarded for on Musing.

Musing is a question and answer platform built on top of Steem blockchain that rewards users with tokens for posting quality questions and answers. This platform was launched in May 2018 and it has so far already accumulated close to 32,300 questions and received around 86,000 answers. Founded by sole founder and developer @jonching( steemit username), the platform has been growing steadily ever since.

Basically, users ask great questions that can be upvoted by interested members, users can also answer the asked questions and if the answer is valuable they are upvoted. These upvotes, unlike Quora, are earnings in cryptocurrency only represented by upvotes. Currently, users earn their rewards in form of Steem tokens which can anytime be exchanged to USD, Musing clearly states that they will have their own token in 2019.

Getting started on Musing.

Joining Musing is pretty easy most especially for users that are already Steemians, as I said Musing is built on top of the Steem blockchain and Steemit users just need to log in using their Steemit posting key or Steemconnect to fully access the Musing platform. Non-Steemit members can sign up on Steemit through the register option on the login page.

Users have to be Steemit users before they use the platform, how I wish they had a much simpler way of accessing the platform or signing up on steemit because some Steem DApps present better and convenient ways to sign up on Steemit.

The platform presents different feeds according to your preferred category, under the category section you can choose to check out the trending, hot or new section. It's very easy to ask and answer questions. Currently, users can ask questions as posts and answers can be written as comments the way it's presented on Steemit.

Asking a question is only a one-step procedure after logging in and answering is equally as easy. Users can follow their favourite topics about love, business, blockchain, money, and so on. I found this interface very easy to use just like Quora, the components are almost the same.

The activities on Musing.io are also shown on steemit.com on your main blog whereby other Steemit users who don't use Musing can support you through upvotes and resteems or even follow through to look at the answers.

Verdict:

Musing is a big step in the right direction for a project that started less than a year ago, I appreciate the progress it has gone through in this shortest period. Triggering and encouraging people's curiosity and valuing people's points of view. Direct rewards from interested content consumers to content creators demonstrates how far the internet has reached and Musing does exactly just that. The platform is very easy to navigate through, the activities are very easy to access and the reward system is great due to the fact that it's built on a fast and widely functional Steem blockchain.

I just wish it was so easy and free for non-steemians to access the platform without going through the 2-week account registration because some Steem DApps make it free and easy, more rewards for an average content creator on Musing and a quick implementation of tokenization for a complete ecosystem.
