VimmTV- A Streaming Platform where content creators gets Rewards per their effort [Review]
Overview
Content creating has been around for quite a while now, for decades this become job opportunities for some, and for some just fun or Maybe recreational activity, to some it's a means of information dissemination, letting people know their thoughts and feeling through art, writing and video making. The truth is, all these types of content creating have stood the test of time and are not going away anytime soon no matter the super fast technology is evolving.
Now is the era where content creating has a new twist, it now offers something back in return to participants and now it has expanded beyond the aforementioned, live video game streaming, Vlogging, drone footage, live art paintings and so on are now part of the family, a few of these were not heard of or common back then. Presently, the step up in creation has gained cognizance in the technology of today, thanks to the Blockchain, VimmTV fill that void like it's off the chain and non-incentives counterpart.
What is VimmTV?
VimmTV is an evolving dapps or community built on the Steem Blockchain and which comprises of avid gamers, entertainers and artists of various sort that came together to create live streaming experiences by building brands, connecting with fans and discovering new content while getting rewarded in Cryptocurrency (Steem) for doing all this.
Formally, Dlive served the same purpose before migrating away of Steem, but VimmTV took that mantle an so filled up that empty void. Just a few Blockchain platform like Vimm offers a Crypto social benefits for its users, traditional social media like this offers nothing in terms of incentives, but this Dapp rewards its users with Cryptocurrency.
Presently ranked 87 on State of the dapps, despite not among the top media dapp of 2019, it's potential is great, smiliar to @dtube and the defunct Dlive. It enables users stream their content the way they want, how they want it and where they want to, and at the same time getting rewarded based on the effort put into their contents.
Getting started
Signing up and logging in on VimmTV is easy as ABC as it is so perfect any user could access it via their existing Steem account, Google account, Facebook and Twitter. Intending users without any of this mentioned social media account could still sign up via the dapp's main website.
Hardly would there be anyone not having Facebook or a Google account even without being a Steem User. For Steem users, it is much easier through Steemconnect, an interface serving as a third party link or keychain between Steem and other Dapps.
A unique feature is how it displays an individual total Steem assets (liquid and staked), probably as a mechanism to caution spending and Resource credit Usage, it could also be accessed on both Desktop and mobile device, to Stream the mobile device must operate with the latest Android OS and iOS (with the last 3 versions).
From statistics on state of the Dapps, VimmTV have an average active users of 58 in a day and almost 150 users in a month. Transactions could total 1,899 per month with (55 in a day and 433 in a week), volume of Steem token used is approximately 249 per month. Dapp review shows its profile strength of 87% which is way over average.
The Good
The multi-sign in (logging in) options makes it a superb Dapp despite been created on the Steem Blockchain. Also way to use and free of censorship unlike other similar platforms off the chain.
The Bad
There is fairly no bad side except the number of active users which needs improvement, the VimmTV crew need a lot of awareness and marketing campaigns to get more active users onboard.
Conclusion
Vimm is one fantastic Dapp that was created by Yan Morand, Ryan Juel, Paulius Podziunas, Kevin Piersoul. To be listed on State the of Dapp means it's potentials are limitless over a long term and investors are advised to look into this project to disrupt censorship on off the chain platforms. I give VimmTV a 4 out of 5 rating.
