Getting ready for MAXX Testnet

The countdown is on - Test our contracts and dashboards before the big launch on Polygon! We have started testnet 11.11.12 11:11PM

We’re getting very close to the grand launch of MAXX Finance on Polygon, and we’d love to invite you to test our dashboard and contracts. The tests will take place on the Mumbai network, which is Polygon’s Testnet.

Interacting with contracts on Ethereum can be very expensive, so we have chosen Polygon as our network of choice. It is a Layer-2 scaling solution, which makes transactions cost only a fraction of a penny.

It won’t cost you anything to take part in the public testnet, as you will get MATIC for free to make your transactions. There will also be rewards for any serious bugs found!

Follow this guide to get ready to participate in the testing:

Step 1 — Get a MetaMask wallet
You will need a MetaMask account in order to use our dapp during testnet. Although mainnet will support other wallets like TrustWallet, unfortunately, they don’t support testnets, so MetaMask must be used.

If you haven’t already got MetaMask, head over to https://metamask.io to install the browser extension or mobile app, and create your account.

Step 2 — Add the Polygon Mumbai network
Our dapp will do this automatically for you when you connect your wallet, so you don't need to worry now.

However, if you wish to add it manually, here are the steps:

Click ‘Ethereum Mainnet’
Simply open your MetaMask wallet, and click on the network dropdown at the top, then press Add Network.

Enter the settings listed below
Then enter the settings listed below:

MetaMask Network Parameters
Network Name: Mumbai Testnet
New RPC URL: https://rpc-mumbai.maticvigil.com
Chain ID: 80001
Currency Symbol: MATIC
Block Explorer URL: https://mumbai.polygonscan.com/

Click Save, and you’re good to go! You can now switch between Ethereum and Mumbai from that dropdown:

Step 3 — Get some testnet Matic tokens
Once you have the Mumbai network added, you will need to get some Mumbai Matic tokens so that you can pay for gas fees, and sacrifice into the Liquidity Amplifier.

Go to the Polygon Faucet to get your test tokens
Head over to https://faucet.polygon.technology/ and paste your wallet address.

They will send you a small amount of MATIC within 1–2 minutes.

Step 4 — Make sure you know all about MAXX and are ready to start testing!
