Symbolism of the Matrix | System Failure
The Matrix has come to permeate much of our social discourse today. The movie is full of symbolic references, but most importantly it is the structure of the movie which gives us most insight about what it is the Wachowski siblings are painting for us, a battle between tyranny and freedom which can also be seen as order and chaos. In the end, the Matrix still speaks clearly to many of the questions being asked today.

To be honest, I am struggling with Dtube, the videos I have uploaded there don't seem to load for some reason.
I do however believe not only could the world exist without a system of control.... That it would be better....

No I mean like a world where people don't worship authority to the detriment of all. Where murder isn't disguised under a false sense of validity by a bunch of political war mongers. Where people exchange freely with each other by voluntary relationships.
So you mean a world where people did not abuse systems of control, but in a world without systems of control, you would always have to be suspicious about the food you bought at the store because you would never know if it was tainted somehow, you would have no resource except for violence is someone robbed you or stole from you, etc.
I would say that the systems of control that are in place today, are much more about keeping the populous under control, for the benefit of the few, rather than protecting anyone. The security theater of packaging does not in anyway provide protection, but an illusion of protection. The TSA and police are also examples of this. If a thug is in your house and he wants to harm you he will far before the police show up.

You can feel it when you go to work... when you go to church... when you pay your taxes. It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth.

Morpheus: That you are a slave, Neo. Like everyone else you were born into bondage. Into a prison that you cannot taste or see or touch. A prison for your mind.
I see the double sidedness of the way things are portrayed to the masses, versus the way things actually are. I can also see the people who benefit from these systems of control, the people who are opressed and hurt by them. Also the people fooled by them, that trade freedom for a illusion of safety in a world that will never be safe. The truth sometimes is much harder to face than the somewhat pleasant lie. And most people won't. So I guess I'll leave it here.

I love the Matrix and the symbolism it embodies. It's very similar to an onion, where on the surface it's wrapped up in a skin, packed into tight little ball. Once you feel off the skin, you
begin to discover layer after hidden layer.
