Hey Guys, It's my First Post.. 19397781_1364802053634174_634509178_n.jpg

If we follow PEMDAS rule it's 9.
When you evaluate the expression inside the parens, you're left with 3 inside the parens.

6/2(2+1) == 6/2(3)

Understand that the multiplication operation implied by 2(3) is outside the parens.

So, we've done parens. Are there any exponents? Nope.

Next, is Multiplication -AND- Division, they have the same priority, from left to to right.

6/2(3) thus becomes 3(3) and then 9.

but if i say 6/2*3 = 6/6 = 1 so left or right?

Sort:

I am more on the 9 side of life

Lol! What happens when technology rebels!

Put parenthesis from the division to the end of the expression. Solved.
