Awesome idea ! This way you can find the area of any irregular two dimensional shape by bending it into a square and find side x side to find its area.

Dear Pompe 72, for me it doesn't matter if my post gets 1 upvote 2 or 2,000. I see a platform which is growing very fast and I want to share what I know; like I am doing creating online sites, on google plus, reddit, facebook and twitter. It will be very satisfactory to me if a single person will say that he/she really benefited from my content and I will not care about even 100 downvotes on the same post. So never give up.
