Examples Involving Substituting Values of Variables in Algebraic Expressions

As we already know that the algebraic expressions involve one or more than one variables. These variables can have different values depending upon the circumstances. To substitute the value of the variable(s) into the algebraic expressions is known as evaluation of algebraic expressions.

I have included a lesson containing 4 examples on how to evaluate simple and complex algebraic expressions. Hope readers or their loved ones in grade 6 or 7 will benefit from these examples. The sound knowledge of Integers and Order of Operations is a must know before jump into evaluation of algebraic expressions. Once understood students need to print few worksheets from online sites and practice the concept.

Below is the example page on the concept:

Kids need to master this skill by the end of grade 7 so that they should be ready to solve multi-step linear equations, quadratic equations or rational equations in higher grades.

Wow... I two step behind.. (Def lephard song). I must learn a lot...ha..ha. Thank you for sharing knowledge. :)

You are very wel come happyphoenix. You will catch up, keep working on it :))

Thanks again for this useful information!

You are Welcome kus-knee, I really appreciate your support.

Hi @mathworksheets could you please do a post on division of polynomials. I will appreciate this a lot....xx

Sure @giantbear, I will do it as my next post. Thanks for reminding me more topics. This one was buried deep in my mind :))
