Since in the multivariate statistics a lot of things can be displayed in matrix notation shorter, here is the first part of a short list of the most important formulas I will use in the further posts.

As in most other things, exercise, exercise and exercise again. If you don't understand a formula, it is mostly because you didn't understand something before, then it makes more sense to go back one step instead of spending too much time with the formula.
